Business Development & Account Manager (edtech, health & social care)

Day-to-day activities will include…

This role will play a critical part in owning and developing relationships with existing clients and spearheading the growth into new sectors and territories 

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (60%)

  • Working with the senior team to refine and execute the business development plan

  • Delivering & reporting on KPIs

  • Identifying new target markets and potential clients

  • Developing existing client relationships 

  • Identifying and attending conferences, meetings and industry events 

  • Delivering pitch presentations and product demonstrations

  • Offering organisational consultation on training needs that aim to enhance customer service delivery and operations

  • Negotiating contracts 

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT (40%)

  • Monitoring incoming orders and ensuring these are fulfilled effectively

  • Ensuring all clients get the most from the range of products

  • Managing existing client relations offering customer support resolving queries and issues 

  • Designing and delivering tailored onboarding and training roll-out plans to new clients

  • Delivering LMS performance presentations, impact monitoring, analytics and activity reporting to organisational leads and senior executives

  • Holding regular client business reviews

  • Sharing Feeding back all suggestions for improvement to the business

  • Reporting on user activity, client suggestions for improvement, competitor activity and market research to the senior team 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Ensuring all client information is up to date on internal systems at all times:

    • Be the internal ‘owner’ of the CRM database, including but not limited to the accuracy of accounts, contacts, leads and pipeline information

    • Keeping  key client documentation stored and up to date in SharePoint, including but not limited to Contracts, Proposals, Presentations and Reports

MARKETING

  • Managing social media activity and marketing where required to support new business, marketplace visibility and reputation management 

The ideal candidate…

  • Solution selling preferably in training, education, e-learning marketplaces or SAAS to NHS, charities or voluntary organisations 

  • Pitching to clients in person, via phone or video

  • Developing & executing business development plans 

  • Managing accounts and identifying opportunities for growth

  • Designing and delivering onboarding programmes for clients 

  • Working in a startup or a fast paced small business

  • Using CRM (Gold Vision), excel and the Microsoft suite

  • Academics in health, social sciences, psychology or business degree
