Head of Operations - Clinicians

Salary: 65 000 - 75 000

You will be working alongside exceptional startup talent from Thread, HelloFresh, MyTutor and Tesco, playing a key role in optimising their service.

Day-to-day…

Leading a team to optimise, analyse, forecast and plan for current and future workforce needs

OPERATIONS

Lead and motivate a small team supporting clinicians across the business

  • Responsible for forecasting demand for clinicians 

  • Plan resource allocation to maximise the use of all clinician resources

  • Manage delivery and content of Clinician induction including key policy distribution 

  • Maintain accurate comprehensive account of all clinicians in post (to enable internal communication with clinical leadership  through newsletter etc) 

  • Ensure systems are kept up to date in relation to any onboarding, offboarding or changes for clinicians

  • Lead the monthly audit of clinician availability and utilization 

  • Lead the development of a requirements document in relation to digitalizing workforce planning. 

  • Ensure that all systems, processes and communication is set up in such a way to operate a transferable workforce 

  • Set up and run a bank of clinician staff who can support short term peaks in demand 

  • Reporting of key monthly clinician MI, including weekly sickness/absence and exception events 

  • Escalate serious concerns to the Clinical Lead/Director or Head of Ops/HR 

  • Support the Operations team with handling administrative areas of clinician management such as overseeing annual leave/ensuring it is taken, and ensuring CPD is up to date.

  • Interview candidates under clinical oversight 

CROSS/FUNCTIONAL WORKING

  • Act as an intermediary between NHS and Private and any other clinical areas of the business to ensure that clinician's time is  maximized and peaks and troughs in demand are spread as far as possible 

  • Maintain excellent relationships with BD/Ops/Marketing to understand any business changes that may impact demand for  clinicians

  • Work with the Talent Acquisition/HR/Operations/L&D teams to effectively induct new clinicians and ensure that they are actively engaged with the business 

  • Work with L&D/Onboarding to ensure that clinicians mandatory/any training is up to date, time is allocated from schedules to allow  training to take place 

  • Work with Finance to resolve clinician payment matters 

  • Identify and demo any systems and lead the implementation of any new tech/system, working closely with Ops and Product/Tech
